Nas noites de luar e na época da ceifa do arroz, á noite para se separar o neli das folhas e do tronco , fazem -se grandes tebes e salta-se em cima do arroz . Os grãos caem na esteira e o resto retira-se para queimari . Pois ao ler este poema de MGabriela Carrascal«ao lembrei-me de algumas dessas noites de luar e em que em Manatuto tive a oportunidade de participar numa das varzeas do Zé Inacio. Era mesmo isso que acontecia! Parabens MGabriela pela sua forma sensivel de se expressar neste poema bem sensual....

João Manuel Gouvea ( estive em Timor quatro anos, de 1968 a 1972, na tropa onde fui colocado em Baucau dois anos e depois em Dili)
Eu francamente não entendo da razão porque o ministério da Educaçao de Timor, A Fundação Oriente, o Instituto Camões e outras organizações culturias com interesses em Timor e para Timor, incluindo o CPLP ainda não pegou nesta artista e poeta e a divulgou pelo mundo afora. Apenas lemos ou ouvimos falar das mesmas pessoas levando-nos a pensar que Timo-Leste sem esses, n˜åo tem mais artistas nem poetas nem escritores. D]a-nos a impressão que só são quatro ou cinco, e por sinal todos ligadosá politica....
